Although this is absolutely the last time I book a trip through Outgoing, and despite it being cold and rainy during both days, I managed to have fun in Paris over the weekend. Our group began the trip at 11PM on Thursday and traveled overnight (from coach, to ferry, and back to coach) and arrived exhausted. But since Friday was one of only two full days we would spend in Paris, I headed to Disneyland with the bulk of our tour group after stretching my legs and changing my clothes. I and one other friend visited Universal and the main park on Friday and rode every fun ride that was open (sadly, the Aerosmith coaster was closed ). The park closed early (around 7:30PM) and the promised fireworks show didn’t happen that day (likely due to how drizzly it was). The water show did go on, however, and that was lovely. Space Mountain (epic, as always), Ratatouille (adorable and well-designed 3-D experience), and Big Thunder Mountain (high speed and dark tunnels FTW) were my favorite rides of the day. The Swiss Family Robinson home was also really great and made me want to live in a treehouse even more than I already did.
The next day I ate breakfast, slept incredibly late in my cushy hotel bed, and read before going into the city centre. I didn’t have time to do much, but I saw the Eiffel Tower from every angle, ate a waffle slathered in Nutella and Speculoos crumbs, and ate a good dinner with friends.
I hope your fingers are primed for all the scrolling that’s about to happen.
I enjoyed myself, but I’m happy to be back in the UK. I’m already planning a return trip to Paris for the Spring (when the weather is more accommodating); should be fun 🙂 Welp! Until next time!
